Situational Confidence Questionnaire - Heroin

Original/alternative title:  SCQ-H

Summary

The tool is a 22-item self-reported questionnaire. For each of these 22 items, respondents consider the situation described and indicate how confident they are that they would be able to resist the urge to use heroin in that situation. Anchored on a six-point scale, response options range from 0% (not at all confident) to 100% (very confident), with mid-range options including 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% confidence levels.

The SCQ-H was developed to assess a client's perceived ability to cope effectively with heroin in high risk situations in everyday life. The profiles obtained may help the client and the therapist identify areas of strength and areas of vulnerability in resisting urges to use heroin.
